Refund and Cancellation Policy

This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations, changes and refunds are handled for SunShik solar design, supply, installation and maintenance services. Specific terms in your signed quotation or agreement take precedence where they differ.

1. Consultations and Site Surveys

Initial consultations and standard residential site surveys are free of charge. You may cancel or reschedule a survey at any time by calling or emailing us; we simply ask for as much notice as possible so the engineer’s time can be offered to another customer.

2. Cancelling an Accepted Quotation

• Within 3 days of acceptance and before any equipment is ordered or fabricated: the advance payment is refunded in full.
• After equipment has been ordered, imported or fabricated for your project: we refund the advance minus the non-recoverable costs already incurred, such as supplier cancellation charges, custom mounting-structure fabrication and transport. We provide an itemised statement of these costs.
• After installation work has started: cancellation is possible only by written agreement. Charges cover work completed, equipment supplied and any restoration needed to leave the site safe.

3. Changes to Your Order

If you want to change system size, equipment brands or scope after accepting a quotation, we will issue a revised quotation. Price differences are added or credited, and any costs caused by the change are explained before you approve it.

4. Cancellation by SunShik

We may cancel or postpone work if site conditions are unsafe, the roof structure is found unsuitable, required approvals cannot be obtained, or agreed payments are not received. If we cancel for reasons not caused by you, all payments for work and equipment not yet delivered will be refunded in full.

5. Maintenance and Repair Services

• Maintenance visits can be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge with at least 24 hours’ notice.
• Late cancellations or missed appointments may incur a visit charge to cover travel and technician time.
• Annual care plans may be cancelled at any time; the unused portion is refunded after deducting the value of visits already completed.
• Replacement parts supplied for repairs are refundable only if unused, undamaged and returnable to the supplier.

6. Faulty Equipment

Equipment that develops a fault is handled under the manufacturer’s warranty rather than through a refund. We assist with diagnosis, documentation and warranty claims, and where our workmanship is at fault, we correct it at no charge under our workmanship warranty.

7. How Refunds Are Paid

Approved refunds are paid by bank transfer or the original payment method within 14 working days of the cancellation being confirmed in writing. Any bank or transfer fees charged by third parties may be deducted.

8. How to Request a Cancellation or Refund

Send a written request to mail@sunshik.com including your name, phone number, quotation or invoice number and the reason for your request. We will acknowledge it within two working days.

9. Updates

This policy may be updated from time to time. This version is effective from 1 October 2026.
